Your business proposition could range from the conventional to ‘out there’ - a one-man band, or with multi-national aspirations. It doesn’t matter because there are always opportunities to pick up ideas, lessons learned and “don’t do that!” from others who have been through the journey.

Entering the 2019 Electra Business Awards is a must for every business in the region. With business excellence at the core, the program supports, recognises and rewards businesses in the Kāpiti and Horowhenua region. To date over 500 businesses have entered.
The Electra Business awards have been running continuously since 1993, making it one of New Zealand's longest running business awards. The Electra Business Breakfast runs every month of the year except in January and on the first Wednesday of each month. Electra is the Exclusive Sponsor and Supporter of the breakfast series and they contract Kapiti Business Projects to deliver the breakfast. Electra does this as it recognises that successful businesses are key to successful local communities. The Kāpiti Chamber offers a vibrant event calendar for members and non-members to participate in. The programme is mix of networking and professional development events, including Business After Five, Kapiti Coast Business Network, Women in Business events and the Learning & Development programme. The Chamber will email promotions 3-5 weeks before each event to remind you to “Book Now” using their online event portal. The network operates under the umbrella of the Kāpiti Chamber of Commerce and offers informal networking on the second Monday of each month (except January) at which short business profiles are presented.
There are no membership fees and no requirement to be a member of the chamber to attend the network.
