See what's coming up. Meet other business people at networking events or learn skills to grow your business.
People are not only living longer, they want to be active longer, looking after themselves for longer, engaged with their communities for longer... and many of us are doing that quite creatively. It's what has been called "The End of Retirement as We Know It". New Zealand is part of this world-wide "longevity" revolution. Kāpiti/Horowhenua is a thriving part of our country's economy and will have its fair share of Enterprising 50plus businesses.
Three local 50plus entrepreneurs, Adrian, Angela and Jill are looking to kick-start a network of people in the region who, at 50 plus, have started or intend to start their own businesses. Your business proposition could range from the conventional to ‘out there’ - a one-man band, or with multi-national aspirations. It doesn’t matter because there are always opportunities to pick up ideas, lessons learned and “don’t do that!” from others who have been through the journey.
6-8pm, Monday the 25th of February, at the Waikanae Baptist Church meeting room, 286 Te Moana Road.
Adrian 027 479 1576 or Angela 027 633 2821.
Ever wondered how you could get involved in helping out with a start-up business or exciting community idea? Don't know where to start? Then Startup Weekend is just the thing for you!

Friday 27 to Sunday 29 July, Whitireia Kāpiti Campus, Paraparaumu
13th of August to 10th of September
