Full Event Guide
There's always something happening on the Kāpiti Coast. Here's your guide to events that you won't want to miss!
Dare to Paint - Adult Painting Course
This exciting two day Art course is open to anyone wanting to be adventurous and try something new.
You don't have to have any previous art experience or drawing ability as we will be exploring a free flow approach that is open, simple and effective.
Paekākāriki Film Festival 2023
We're ridiculously excited to reveal the programme for this year's annual film festival! It's a month of Sundays throughout June and promises something for everyone. We've changed things up a little bit this year by including two matinee sessions for the kids and a slightly earlier start for the stand-alone movies.
We've got old and new, funny and dramatic, musical and mysterious. Check out the programme, clear your calendar and raid your piggy bank for the essential movie snacks available at the Movie Munchies Cafe.
Air Force Band Charity Concert
The Lions Club of Waikanae, the Waikanae Funeral Home and Metlifecare Kāpiti Village present the Air Force Band Charity Concert at the prestigious Southward Car Museum. Featuring the incredible musical talents of soloist Jess Segal, this performance promises to be a breathtaking experience for all who attend.
All proceeds will be donated to the Life Flight Trust, so you can feel good about enjoying an entertaining afternoon while making a positive difference in the community.
Trickster and Shadow – Keys to Transformation
Using shamanic journeying, the day explores trickster archetypes, and unearths shadow at play – those blind spots bumped into time and again while continually denying they even exist. Connect with power animals to assist and bring guidance.
Listen in to what hides out in your shadowlands, to bring insight and awareness to your path. Exploring via dreams and stories the trickster animals and shadow creatures that speak to us from deep and patient inner recesses. A surprise package of personal hidden gems to integrate and bring to life.

You can expect throw-back jams, mass sing alongs, old skool bingo with some new skool raunchy bingo calls and probably an air guitar competition.
