Walking with Alpacas
Cantharis Alpacas is one of longest established alpaca farms on the Kapiti Coast, only 30 minutes North of Wellington.
Currently open for pre-booked and guided walks with the alpacas for you and the alpacas to be entertained.
During the tour you will be able to walk with an alpaca on a lead over a handcrafted farm track, hand feed them and, assuming they are in the mood, share some intense hugs.

Ngā Manu Easter Celebration
Ngā Manu’s Easter celebration runs throughout the long weekend 7 – 10 April. Join in the popular Easter Rock hunt to win chocolate Easter Eggs or one of sponsored prizes. There are over $2,000 worth of prizes to be won.
Take a selfie or cuddle with Kiri the Easter Kiwi, life-sized Kiwi mascot. Enjoy a sausie sizzle and hot drink for sale, a colouring competition and scavenger hunt. Bring your picnic blanket and make a day of it. Watch or join in the daily eel feeding at 12pm and 2pm.
Live Art: React Childrens Junk Orchestra Workshop
School holiday activity Thursday 13th April 10am to 2pm free to come and go as you please.
REACT Rangiwahia Environmental Arts Centre Trust
Are an experienced group of creatives who will run this workshop Using recycled items from the waste stream participants will be invited to produce simple musical instruments. These can be wind instruments such as reed blowers, single stringed guitars (Pindangles) or percussion instruments.
The amazing Junk instrument tower will also be available for participants to play on. All age groups and whanau/family participation encouraged.
Live Art. @ Mahara is a series of free events held in Mahara Place from 31st Jan to 28th April.
Show In A Week Holiday Programme
Be part of camp rock the musical! Show in a Week is open to any child aged 8 years – 13 years with the enthusiasm to perform on stage. No previous experience necessary!
Performers do not have to audition to take part as part of the ensemble, all are welcome. Those that wish to play a featured role will need to take part in an audition process on Sunday, 26 March from 2pm - 5pm. Performers are not auditioning for specific parts, the panel will cast all featured roles based on the audition.
The cast come together on Monday, 17 of April and we pull together the show! Camp days will include staging, choreography, music and lots of fun! On Friday the cast prepare for the public performances and hit the stage!
