Celebrate the Māori New Year on the Kāpiti Coast with two light festivals and an exciting month-long programme of whānau-friendly events.
Curated by the incredibly talented Māoriland team (of Māoriland Film Festival fame), Matariki Ramaroa is spearheaded by experienced light artist and event producer Dylan Herkes. Of Ngāti Porou, Tainui and Pākehā whakapapa, Dylan joined the Māoriland team from his role as Art Director for Storybox (Lux Light Festival) to deliver the annual Matariki Ramaroa festival.
