Visa Wellington On a Plate is New Zealand’s largest and tastiest food festival that runs for a full month every year.

This year’s programme is once again packed with delicious innovation, Festival events, Dine dishes, Cocktails and Burgers  – designed to delight, educate, nourish and take your taste buds on a journey of flavour.

Centrally located in Raumati Village, the Boundary is a hub for the village; a quintessential gastro pub with their own twist.

The Boundary’s Burger Wellington entry is the “P&PB01 - Kāpiti Variant”, a pork and paua burger matched with Garage Project Golden Path Beer.

Hola Mexican Kāpiti

24 Marine Pde, Paraparaumu Beach

Formerly Pram Beach, Hola is a new Mexican street food and grill venue in Paraparaumu Beach which takes its food seriously.

Hola has two entries in this year’s VWOAP;

– “The Ugly Duckling” Burger available August 13 - 31 2021

- “Chilli Orchard” Cocktail  available August 1 - 31 2021

Passo Pizza Pasta Caffe`

159 Kapiti Road, Paraparaumu

Passo is Kāpiti's first authentic Sicilian and Italian pizza and pasta restaurant. Passo means to pass, to stop by, to drop in, but you’re advised to book ahead for VWOAP!

This year Passo’s specialties are:

- “Out of the Bush” Burger with wallaby and pork patties paired with Garage Project Beer - Angry Peaches, available August 13 - 31 2021

- “Marsalino” Cocktail made with vodka, cognac and dark chocolate, available August 1 - 31 2021

The Refinery Bar & Eatery is a warm, modern place to catch up with friends & family and enjoy premium brands, delicious food and cocktails.

Smoked & Pickled

Smoked & Pickled is a popular food truck based in Paraparaumu that has entered Burger Wellington with the “Up in Smoke” Burger. A pulled pork and brisket patty with smoked and pickled apple slaw, Zany Zeus smoked whipped feta aioli, smoked cheese and Garage Project Pickle Beer mustard sauce in a white sesame bun. Available August 13 - 31 2021

The Tuatara Brewery tasting room is a casual, and relaxed environment - and while not a full-blown pub, they encourage great hospitality and sociability.

Tuatara’s Dine entry this year is called “The Commute”, a fixed menu of three courses;

- Entrée: crispy pork belly with Waikanae Crab’s paua, apple and yuzu

- Main: Preston’s beef fillet and tongue roulade with sweetbread tart

- Dessert: rhubarb mousse and Bee Fresh honey meringue encased in Kāpiti Chocolate Factory’s dark chocolate
