Coastella is a boutique summer festival featuring local and international music here on the sunny Kāpiti Coast.
Held in February in the park-like grounds of Southward Car Museum, Coastella has something for everyone with a diverse range of acts playing on multiple stages, including an up-close and intimate venue, the main stage in a natural grassy amphitheatre and a lake stage offering an idyllic setting to relax with friends.
Festival goers in the past have enjoyed music from around the world and a mix of styles including indie rock, world, Balkan, second line swing, hip hop, funk, folk, Americana, singer-songwriter, rock, synth pop and kids music.
There have also been circus performers, art installations, a quality range of food and more. The day-long festival is relaxed and family friendly.
