Māoriland brings indigenous films and their creators to Ōtaki for five days of screenings, workshops and special events.

Be moved and inspired by a selection of the most distinctive indigenous voices and storytelling in film. Māoriland Film Festival celebrates film makers from around the world, for 5 days delivering screening, workshops, art exhibitions and special events, which celebrates and shares to the world their stories on the big-screen.

The festival screens in some beautiful and historic venues including Raukawa Marae, Rangiātea Church (the oldest Māori Anglican church in New Zealand) and the Civic Theatre.

Based out of the Māoriland Hub on Main Street, Ōtaki, visitors are welcome year-round to enjoy film screenings, productions, exhibitions and workshops.
