Kāpiti restaurants and producers take part in the annual Visa Wellington on a Plate, which returns from 10 to 26 August 2018.
The food festival focuses on locally sourced produce of which Kāpiti has plenty to offer. Participating restaurants offer a set menu or take part in one of the event's competitions such as Burger Wellington, which seeks to find the best burger in the Wellington region.
Last year people had the opportunity to try a range of delicious food in the Wellington Food Truck Rally in Paraparaumu, as well as the event Caught, Cut and Cooked that was held at the Otaihanga Boating Club and focused on food from the sea and land. The five-course lunch was matched to local craft beers and regional wines.
There are a record number of participants taking part in the 2018 food festival, offering burgers, cocktails and unique set menus right here on the Kāpiti Coast.
