Dark Horse Coffee

Tucked right in the heart of the industrial zone of the Kāpiti Coast, Dark Horse Roastery and Takeaway Coffee Bar is fast becoming an institution for those that take their coffee seriously.

Duncan's Brewing

Owned and operated by George Duncan and Wai Familton, Duncan’s is the result of a 22,000 km road trip circumnavigating the USA, where they drank their way through a multitude of sessionable and sometimes questionable beer offerings.
Clearly, a beer obsession was born.
Kāpiti Chocolate Factory
5 Lorien Court, Raumati Beach, Paraparaumu
Kāpiti Coast's very own chocolate factory!
Their chocolate makers have over 60 years of combined experience in chocolate, creating a range of delicious handcrafted treats available for the public to purchase from their factory shop.
Known for its colourful exterior and the large familiar model train in the factory shop, many Wellingtonians and Kapiti Coasters have fond memories of visiting the factory in their childhood. A local favourite!


Kāpiti Olive Oil
22 Lethbridge Road, Te Horo
Based in Te Horo, this multi-award winning olive oil producer is the perfect place to stop off and walk within the olive grove. Visitors are welcome to explore the property, see first hand the production and learn what goes into the making of this wonderful product. All visitors are required to book in advance.
Koa Koa Limoncello

Kāpiti Coast locals Bec Kay and Chris Barber handcraft Koakoa Limoncello and The Bond Store Gin and Vodka in Paraparaumu and have won awards both domestically and internationally:

North End Brewery
11 Ngaio Road , Waikanae
They're a small team, producing beer right out of a brewery in Waikanae, on the Kāpiti Coast. Producing a range of beers, inspired by traditional European styles, brewed to capture the uniqueness of our land.
Taking our name from Kāpiti Island, where the aptly named ‘North End’ is most visible from Waikanae Beach; they appreciate local, including this in the ingredients, branding, and brewpub; Salt and Wood Collective, adjoined to the brewery, open all day, serving American style BBQ and North End Brews to dine in or take away.
Siggy's Pies
6 Mahara Place, Waikanae
Siggy's boast that they make the heartiest, tastiest and just downright bestest pies in the known universe...in Waikanae on the gorgeous Kāpiti Coast.
Catering to both omnivores and herbivores (and gluten free on request), plus ongoing flavour combinations being created, Siggy's have turned the classic kiwi pie up to 11!



Tuatara Brewery

Now with a plethora of regular gigs and events, The Brewery Tap Room is a non-pretentious, casual, and relaxed environment - fostering great hospitality and sociability. Everyone is welcome - from beer connoisseurs on strict tasting business, to work groups popping in for an after work pint or two, as well as enjoy a range of wine, cider and soft drinks.
A visit to the tap room is a great chance to rub shoulders with our award-winning brewers, who frequent the licensed area to carry out all the important "quality control". You can take a little Tuatara home with you too!

Waikanae Butchery

Andy Stroombergen has been the owner of the Waikanae Butchery since 2006, and involved with the butchery industry since leaving school at the age of 16. The store is renowned for not only great quality produce but also knowledgeable and friendly staff.
They are a one stop shop for all your meat needs, with regular customers travelling from far afield to stock up on favourite items. One reviewer goes so far as to claim Waikanae Butchery sausages as the best in NZ, a claim backed by many gold medals from the Great New Zealand Sausage Competition over the years. With flavours ranging from the traditional pork or beef to white wine and fennel, why not try them for yourself!
With a huge range of gluten free products and cured meats, Waikanae Butchery is not your average butcher. While you're there you can also stock up on Kapiti Olive Oil, a range of marinades, sauces and spices.
